Lyocell Tencel yarn – Lenzing

Tencel yarn, also known as Lyocell yarn, is a sustainable, regenerated cellulose fiber made from wood pulp, primarily eucalyptus, using a proprietary closed-loop process with non-toxic amine oxide solvent.

This eco-friendly production recycles over 99% of the solvent and water, resulting in a soft, breathable yarn with silk-like drape and high strength in both wet and dry conditions. It outperforms viscose in durability and moisture management while remaining fully biodegradable.
